Tantric Dance Devon
Move beyond the mind. Into the body. Into connection.
An invitation to explore movement, trust and connection through Tantric Dance. Discover a different way of meeting yourself and others, with curiosity, presence and freedom.
Returning to Devon after our first gathering in 2025.
What happens when you stop trying to get it right and start listening to your body?
Tantric Dance invites you to explore the art of leading and following through music, movement and connection. A space to play, discover, trust and experience yourself in a different way.
Less thinking. More feeling. No choreography, no performance — just curiosity.
This is what it looks like when we dance.
These are moments from our previous Tantric Dance gathering in Devon. Real people, real movement, and the space to explore connection in a different way.

The heart of the practice
Lead. Follow. Choose.
At its centre, Tantric Dance is a playful experiment in leading and following. Through guided exercises you notice how you give direction, how you receive it, and what you genuinely want — moment by moment. Some things you might explore:
01
Leading with your whole body
You lead your partner, who dances with eyes closed, creating and initiating the movement. You may hold, embrace, turn and sway them, with full-body contact, guided by care and presence.
02
Surrendering into the flow
With eyes closed you let go of control and allow yourself to be fully guided, feeling rather than thinking.
03
Saying no, and being thanked for it
You practise offering a clear 'not that, thank you' — and hearing one without it meaning anything about you.
04
Choosing again when the dance ends
Each dance runs about three tracks, with one person leading throughout. When it finishes you're invited — never required — to change partner, change role, or stay as you are. Couples are welcome to stay together for the whole evening; people who come alone are invited to dance with several people. Most people find one role feels far more familiar. That's where it gets interesting.
Every dance is an invitation. You always set your own boundaries and can say no or step out at any time.

The blindfold
What happens when we close our eyes?
With a blindfold, the experience can shift from how we look to how we feel. We are invited to notice our bodies, our movement, our boundaries and our connection with ourselves and others.
When you receive, you dance with eyes closed. Without sight you tune into your body, senses and breath, and experience being touched and guided in a completely new way. The facilitators stay present in the room throughout. You can keep your eyes open, lift the blindfold, or pause at any moment.

The heart of the practice
The magic of polarities.
We explore the polarities of masculine and feminine, control and surrender, guidance and flow, giving and receiving energy in a safe and conscious way. Whatever your gender, you explore both sides — and the energy that moves between them.
Masculine — Feminine
Control — Surrender
Guidance — Flow
Transform your daily life.
Deep connection
With yourself and with others, beyond words.
Trust in life
Learning to let go and be held — and to hold.
Rediscover playfulness
Curiosity and laughter instead of getting it right.
Body awareness
Sensing from the inside, not only thinking.
Emotional resilience
Staying present with whatever arises.
Strengthen boundaries
Knowing your yes and your no, and voicing them.

A space to explore. At your own pace.
Whether you're new to Tantric Dance or returning to deepen your practice, you are welcome to arrive as you are. Our Tantric Dance Celebrations are designed to support curiosity, awareness and authentic connection.
Consent first
We explain each exercise before it begins, so you can choose freely.
Your boundaries
You decide your level of contact, and can change it at any time.
Your choice
You can sit out any exercise or step out of the room — no explanation needed.
Guided throughout
The facilitators hold the space and are there to talk with you.

Questions
Good to know.
What is Tantric Dance?+
A guided movement practice that uses music, simple partner exercises and presence to explore leading and following, giving and receiving, boundaries and surrender. There are no steps to learn.
Do I need experience?+
None at all. Every session is guided from the beginning, and experienced movers are just as welcome.
Can I come alone?+
Yes — most people do. You're invited to change partner after each dance, so you'll never be left without someone to dance with.
Is Tantric Dance sexual?+
No. Tantric Dance is not a sexual practice. It can be intimate and sensual, and that intimacy is held consciously, with clear boundaries and respect.
Is there physical contact?+
Yes. Tantric Dance is a close, full-body partner dance and touch is a natural part of it. You are always in charge of your boundaries. You can say no, adjust the contact, or step out at any point, and every no is respected.
Your body knows the way.
You don't need to know the steps. You only need to be curious. Join us in Devon.
